The Bayerisches Armeemuseum in Germany has a permanent exhibit on the First World War.

In its mission statement, the museum declares that it wishes to:

"provide an overview and understanding of the conflict through objects. The deadliness of the armies achieved an unimaginable scale and destroyed the old world. The exhibit looks at the brutality of everyday life at the front as well as the issues faced on the home front..."
