Fritt Ord Foundation First World War lecture series

The Fritt Ord Foundation is planning a programme of events to mark the Centenary of the First World War, with a series of lectures having been held in November 2013.

The lectures were held at House of Literature (Litteraturhuset), Oslo, on Saturday 23rd November.

Ute Frevert - The Honour Game: Male Pride and Female Humiliation in Europe's 1914 July Crisis

Patrcik Salmon - Scandinavia and the Outbreak of the First World War

Hew Strachan - Military operations and national policies
