Western Front Association Durham conference: Britain, Germany and the First World War

The Durham branch of the Western Front Association, in partnership with Beamish Museum and the Durham Light Infantry Museum, is organising a conference about the First World War.

The conference entitled 'Britain, Germany and the First World War' will be held on the 6th September 2014.

Dr John Bourne, University of Birmingham Centre for War Studies: Britain's 'Way in War': British Strategy in 1914

Prof. Eric Grove, University of Salford: British Naval Strategy in 1914: Decisive Action Prevented?

Peter Hart, Imperial War Museum: The British Expeditionary Force in 1914
