The Oxford Sikhs organisation in the UK has links to resources regarding the role of Sikhs  in WW1.

107,000 Sikhs fought for Britain during WW1.  The Oxford Sikhs website has details of the sacrifice many Indians and Sikhs made for the Allied Forces.
